Owner, Cilla’s Coffeehouse
They say an entrepreneur will work 80 hours so they don’t have to work the traditional 40. That’s definitely the case with Mary Ellen Blue. The only difference is, she’s doing it with her kids working alongside her. Mary Ellen opened Cilla’s Coffeehouse in Norfolk, MA in the summer of 2015. There has certainly been quite a few lessons learned along the way but her family’s ability to laugh and smile through it all has kept them going stronger than ever.
We sat down with Mary Ellen and her son Ben to talk about what its like to run a business with family, managing her kids, and why a coffee shop was what she had her sights on from the beginning.
